Product Description

The Wolf Tooth Elliptical Chainring in black is specially designed for Shimano GRX 4-bolt 110 Asymmetric BCD cranksets. It has a 10% ovality and a 112-degree timing after top dead center, offering the benefits of an oval ring like better rear wheel traction without the typical drawbacks. With Wolf Tooth's Drop-Stop asymmetrical tooth design, it ensures long wear life, excellent mud clearance, and great chain retention. It's compatible with Shimano GRX cranksets such as RX600 and RX810. The Powertrac elliptical design makes its effective diameter equivalent to a 2t bigger chainring. It works well with 1x9, 1x10, 1x11, and 1x12 drivetrains, and most 10-, 11-, and 12-speed chains except Shimano 12-speed chains. For a 9-speed drivetrain, use a 10-speed chain for a tighter fit. A clutch-style rear derailleur is recommended. Made from durable 7075-T6 aluminum for long - lasting use.

Using your Wolf Tooth elliptical chainring is straightforward. First, make sure it's compatible with your Shimano GRX crankset. If you have a 9 - speed drivetrain, use a 10 - speed chain for better chain retention. For 12 - speed Shimano chains, you'll need a Wolf Tooth Shimano 12 - speed specific chainring. It's a good idea to use a clutch - style rear derailleur to keep everything running smoothly. When it comes to maintenance, regularly clean the chainring to remove mud and dirt. You can use a mild cleaner and a soft brush. Check for any signs of wear on the teeth, and if you notice excessive wear, it might be time to replace the chainring. Store it in a dry place to prevent rusting. With proper use and maintenance, your chainring will serve you well for a long time.
