Product Description

Wolf Tooth presents a top - notch direct mount chainring designed specifically for SRAM cranks with a 3 - bolt mounting style. This black chainring crafted from premium 7075 - T6 aluminum alloy offers both durability and weight savings. It features a patent - pending Drop - Stop asymmetrical tooth design, which ensures excellent wear life, mud clearance, and chain retention. It's suitable for 1x9, 1x10, 1x11, and 1x12 drivetrains. Compatible with all 10, 11, and 12 - speed chains, except Shimano 12 - speed chains. If you have a 9 - speed drivetrain, using a 10 - speed chain is recommended for better chain retention. It's not compatible with the SRAM 8 - bolt interface. Using a clutch - style rear derailleur is a good idea. Technical specs include a chain - retaining single - ring design, 38 teeth, a round shape, Sram Direct Mount BCD, a 6mm offset, and compatibility with 135/142 MTB hubs and 170/177 hubs.

Using this chainring is straightforward. First, make sure your SRAM crank has a 3 - bolt mounting style. Install the chainring on the crank according to the instructions. For 9 - speed drivetrains, it's best to use a 10 - speed chain to get a tighter fit. If you have a Shimano 12 - speed chain, you'll need a different specific chainring from Wolf Tooth. When it comes to maintenance, regularly clean the chainring to remove mud and dirt. This will help keep the Drop - Stop tooth design working well. Also, check the chain regularly for wear and replace it if needed. It's recommended to use a clutch - style rear derailleur to enhance the chain's performance. Remember, this chainring isn't compatible with the SRAM 8 - bolt interface, so don't try to use it with that setup.
