Product Description

The Surly Disc Trucker Fork in 700c size with a 1-1/8' straight steerer tube and 100x12 mm thru-axle is a great choice for touring on paved roads. It's made of 100% chromoly steel with curved blades and a powder-coated finish. Each fork blade has three-pack mounts, providing extra space for racks, fenders, and more cargo options. It also offers dynamo routing, is compatible with 12mm captured thru-axles and flat-mount disc brakes, and has a 1-1/8˝ threadless steerer tube. Available in 26˝ and 700c wheel sizes, it can clear a 26 x 2.1' tire or a 700c x 47mm tire, with or without fenders. Axle-to-crown height is 376mm for 26' and 390mm for 700c. Note that it's compatible with the 2020 second-generation Disc Trucker model. Tech specs include a straight steerer, max rotor size of 160, black color, flat mount 160 brake, 30 crown race, 700c wheel size, 45 offset, steel material, 700x50 maximum tire clearance, 390 axle to crown length, 12mm thru x 100mm front axle, 100 front hub spacing, 28.6 S.H.I.S. stem clamp diameter, and 350mm steerer tube length.

Using this Surly Disc Trucker Fork is easy. First, make sure it's compatible with your bike (it works with the 2020 second - generation Disc Trucker model). Install it on your bike following the standard fork installation process. When loading up your bike for a tour, use the three - pack mounts on the fork blades to attach racks and fenders. You can also route a dynamo hub if you want to generate power. As for maintenance, keep the fork clean by washing it regularly with mild soap and water. Check the bolts and axles periodically to ensure they're tight. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the powder - coated finish. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, such as cracks or loose parts, have it inspected by a professional bike mechanic right away.
