Product Description

Surly's Disc Trucker Thru-Axle Fork in 26-inch size with a 1-1/8 straight steerer tube is crafted from 100% Chromoly steel. Its black powder-coated curved blades look great and are built to last. This fork is a game-changer for touring on paved roads. Each blade has three-pack mounts, offering plenty of space for racks, fenders, and extra cargo. It comes with dynamo routing and is compatible with 12mm captured thru-axles and flat-mount disc brakes. Available in 26˝ and 700c wheel sizes, it can fit a 26 x 2.1' tire with or without fenders or a 700c x 47mm tire. The axle-to-crown height is 376mm for 26' and 390mm for 700c. Note that it's compatible with the second-generation Disc Trucker model released in 2020 (frames with rear thru-axle dropouts).

Using this Surly Disc Trucker Fork is straightforward. First, make sure your bike is compatible with it, especially if you have a second-generation Disc Trucker model from 2020. When installing, align the fork correctly with your bike's frame and use the appropriate tools to secure the 12mm thru-axle. You can attach racks, fenders, or other cargo solutions to the three-pack mounts on the fork blades. For the dynamo hub, follow the routing provided. When riding, enjoy the comfort it brings to your paved-road tours. As for maintenance, regularly check the tightness of the axle and bolts. Keep the fork clean by wiping it down after rides, especially if you've been in dirty or wet conditions. If you notice any signs of damage or excessive wear, it's best to have it inspected by a professional bike mechanic.
