Product Description

The Thule Apex XT rear hitch mount racks are the perfect solution for families who love biking. They offer top - notch protection for all your family's biking needs. The innovative HitchSwitch lever allows you to easily tilt the rack downwards, giving you quick access to the vehicle's rear. Key features and benefits include: the bike arms can be effortlessly folded down when the rack is not in use; an integrated grab handle makes it a breeze to carry and handle; with 5.5 inches of space between each bike, your bikes stay safe and secure during transport; the ratcheting cradle strap lets you quickly attach and firmly secure bikes to the rack; and the compact cradle design can accommodate a wide range of bike sizes and frame styles. Specifications: it can tilt, holds 4 bikes, has 1 - 1/4 - inch and 2 - inch receivers, each bike can weigh up to 37.5 pounds, uses a top - tube bike mount type, and the rack weighs 35 pounds.

Using your Thule Apex XT rear hitch rack is easy. First, attach the rack to your vehicle's 1 - 1/4 - inch or 2 - inch receiver. Make sure it's properly secured. Then, unfold the bike arms if they're folded. To load a bike, place it in the cradle and use the ratcheting cradle strap to secure it tightly. Remember, each bike should not exceed 37.5 pounds. When you need access to the rear of your vehicle, just use the HitchSwitch lever to tilt the rack down. When not in use, fold down the bike arms to save space. As for maintenance, regularly check the hitch connection and the straps for any signs of wear. Clean the rack with mild soap and water to keep it in good condition. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the black finish. If you notice any parts are loose or damaged, replace them promptly to ensure the safety of your bikes during transport.
