The BBT-22 is a top-notch shop tool designed for installing and removing Shimano® and ISIS Drive™ splined 20-tooth bottom bracket cups. Crafted from investment cast steel, it features a flat tooth profile for maximum engagement with the bottom bracket cup. You can use it with a 3/8' drive torque wrench, 3/8' ratchet driver, 32mm wrench, FRW-1 Freewheel Remover Wrench, or 1' wrench. The BBT-22 has replaced the BBT-2 and fits all bottom brackets serviced by the BBT-2. Its twenty tooth pattern is widely used on various bottom brackets, including those from Shimano®, Truvativ®, Race Face®, FSA®, etc. It can clear the oversized spindles of ISIS Drive™ and Octalink®.
Using the BBT-22 is easy. First, choose the appropriate tool to use with it, like a 3/8' drive torque wrench or a 32mm wrench. Then, align the flat tooth profile of the BBT-22 with the splined 20-tooth bottom bracket cup. You can then start the installation or removal process. When using, make sure the tool is firmly engaged with the cup to avoid slippage. After use, clean the tool with a dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust.
