Product Description

The reimagined carbon ERA crank arms are 300% stronger than Next - R cranks. Our patent - pending insert redesign eliminates loose inserts. A steel wear plate boosts durability. The versatile Cinch system allows for interchangeable spiders, endless ring combos, swappable 30mm alloy spindles, and full compatibility with all relevant frame standards. With a 136mm wide spindle, you get a 52mm chainline on bikes with Boost 148mm rear spacing (optionally, use a Shimano 12sp ring for a 55mm chainline). Note that the BB is sold separately (use RF291 for English 68/73mm, BB92 or PF30 BBs), the BB spanner (use RF2997) and chainrings/spiders are also sold separately. These crank arms are designed, tested and made in Race Face's Canadian facility. They have a 176mm Q - factor and weigh 475g (170mm). TECH SPECS: Model - Era, Length - 170mm, Direct mount/BCD - Cinch, Configuration - 1x, Spindle interface - 30mm, BB shell width - 73mm, Chainline - 52/55mm, Material - carbon, Color - stealth.

Using these ERA crank arms is straightforward. First, make sure to purchase the separate BB (use RF291 for English 68/73mm, BB92 or PF30 BBs) and BB spanner (RF2997). Install the crank arms according to the bike's frame standards, taking advantage of the Cinch system's versatility for different ring and spider combinations. When using, be aware that the 136mm spindle gives a 52mm chainline on Boost 148mm rear - spaced bikes, but you can change it with a Shimano 12sp ring. For maintenance, regularly check the steel wear plate for any signs of excessive wear. Keep the crank arms clean by wiping them down after each ride, especially if you've been in muddy or wet conditions. Avoid using abrasive cleaners on the carbon material. Store the bike in a dry place to prevent rust and damage to the components.
