Product Description

The SRAM Apex 1 Crankset in black is an affordable yet high - performance option for cyclists. It comes with the patented X - Sync chainring technology, which is one of the key features that make SRAM 1x road cranks so well - loved. With above - average tire and frame clearance, it provides a smooth and hassle - free cycling experience. The integrated 4 - arm asymmetric spider is designed to maximize the stiffness - to - weight ratio, ensuring durability without adding unnecessary weight. The Q - factor is 149mm, and it includes an SRAM X - SYNC chainring. It's compatible with 130 hubs, 135/142 road disc hubs less than 415 mm chainstay, and supports both 10 and 11 - speed drivetrains. It has a single chainring for chain retention and is ideal for cyclocross. Note that it doesn't include a bottom bracket, and the pedal spindle is 9/16'.

Using this SRAM Apex 1 Crankset is straightforward. First, make sure your bike is compatible with the crankset's specifications like the spindle interface type, chainline, and hub compatibility. When installing, use appropriate tools to ensure a secure fit. For normal use, just pedal as you would on any bike. When it comes to maintenance, regularly clean the chainring and the crank arms with a mild detergent and a soft brush. This helps prevent dirt and grime from building up, which can affect the performance. Check the tightness of the bolts periodically to avoid any loose parts. If you notice any unusual noises or difficulties while pedaling, inspect the crankset for any signs of damage. Store the bike in a dry place to prevent rust and corrosion. And remember, since it doesn't come with a bottom bracket, you'll need to take care of that part separately as well.
