Using these cleats is simple. First, if you're new to clip - in pedals, take your time to get used to the 6° release angle. Attach the cleats to your mtb shoes using the 2 - hole bolt pattern. The included plastic spacing shims can be used if needed. When you're on the bike, clip in as you normally would. To unclip, it's easier than ever thanks to the 6° release. Just apply a bit of pressure and you're free. As for maintenance, keep the cleats clean. Wipe them down after each ride to remove dirt and debris.
